In April for Baisakhi a good at Rishi Markandeya temple sophisticated, around Bilaspur, is a big draw that attracts lots of pilgrims. The belief goes that Markandeya was doomed to die at the age of 12, in accordance to some prophecy at his start. The boy prayed and gained the grace of Lord Shiva who blessed him that has a long lifetime on Baisakhi.
